This INTIMATE retreat will include:
*yoga exercises (asana, vinyasa, pranayama)
*hatha yoga bandha (locks) and kriya (purifications)
*meditation
*chanting Sanskrit and kirtan
*deep yoga talks and discussions,
*partner work/mashing (bring a partner or get paired)
*some free time.
Provided:
Bring your own meals or drive into town. I suggest eating very lightly this weekend. Yoga mat, blocks, strap, meditation seat/cushion, optional percussion instrument you have experience playing.
Grocery & restaurants 8 minutes down the road in Wimberley, TX. I suggest bringing your food (2 dinner, 2 breakfast, 1 lunch). For best results, I suggest eating minimally (not fasting).

- Accommodations: bed, plenty of bathrooms, showers, fully supplied commercial kitchen to prep your own meals. Some choose to share food.

10am - 12pm Arrival and check in. 1pm - 4pm Navanga Therapy Balls Yoga Practice — If you don’t have a set of balls from the last retreat, bring 4 tennis balls and we will make personal sets of Navanga Therapy Balls to use throughout the weekend. Bring your yoga mat and be ready to practice some postures. There will be some physical anatomy and yoga theory teachings throughout the class. . 4pm - 5pm Free time 6pm Group meal, meet and greet 9pm Kirtan/Meditation - Kirtan is call/listening and response singing/chanting designed to quiet the monkey mind and open the lotus heart. Bring a comfortable seat, and you may bring percussion instrument you know how to play. Ricky will lead. If you must come and go, please do it discreetly.. Saturday 6am - 7:30am Breakfast Coffee/tea provided. Full kitchen with supplies available if you'd like to cook. For best results, practice yoga with empty stomach, bladder and bowels. Do your neti pot before class. 8am - 10:30am Healing Vinyasa Yoga All Levels introduction to uddyana bandha kriya, agni sara, nauli kriya (purifications) and a slower paced vinyasa yoga practice to allow for modifications, adaptations and advancement. Bring your props for best results. Class will include talk and demonstrations. After practicing our postures, we sit for pranayama, kirtan and extended meditation/relaxation/corpse. 11am - 1:30pm Lunch Break Keep it simple! Avoid venturing far. I suggest you stick around and do your own cooking or eat some fruit and keep your stomach half empty. 2pm - 3:30pm Lecture or Q&A Yoga theory or questions about your personal practice only. 4pm - 6pm Postures Clinic Intermediate and Advanced - you all will see and learn how to progress from beginner level to advanced. Learn what modifications will bring you closer to accomplishing. Ricky will demonstrate and teach progression and modifications for advancing yoga postures. Please arrive with at least 3 postures you would like to learn. I will sequence using your requests and we will practice! Bring your props for best results. 6pm Free Time --Cook in! We have a great kitchen available on property --Relax! Go hiking on your own around the property, go star gazing with binoculars or telescope. Jump in the hot tub. --Go dine out & experience Wimberely. 8 minute drive down the road. Enjoy dinner at either Wimberely Cafe (great American Fare), Leaning Pear (more upscale), finished with Los Olivas (wine bar) Sunday 6am - 8am Breakfast Full kitchen with supplies available. 9am - 11am Healing Vinyasa Yoga and Mashing, All Levels Guided partner mashing, followed by purifying hatha vinyasa yoga practice, pranayama, kirtan and meditation/relaxation. Mashing is a technique to break up adhesions to allow greater movement, plus it feels great! 11am - 12:30pm Lunch break 1pm - 2pm Closing Circle Satsang (community of truth), sharing, kirtan, meditation, etc. 2pm - 3pm Departure |
COVID-19This is a small private event and masks are not required, but you are welcome to wear one.
