IF YOU LOVE YOGA & BODYWORK, YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS THIS!
Yoga Teacher Assists, Mashing & Thai Bodywork with Ricky & David
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2023 AT 12 PM – 5 PM
There are two important definitions of the word assist. It can mean to give support and be helpful, and secondly to be present with another, which is the ability to project a sense of ease, or self-assurance. We all could use assurances in life at different times. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be that assurance for others? With practical guidance from a trustworthy teacher, your innate teachings can grow into being.
With over 30 years of combined experience studying and teaching, Ricky and David will share their techniques, resulting in the rhythmic and blissful connections between Yoga, Mashing and Thai Yoga Bodywork.
Thai Yoga Bodywork can be defined as “assisted Yoga”, because many of the techniques can be tailored to deepen a Yoga posture. Yoga assists are similar and both can adopt a very light touch or stronger effort to achieve desired results. The differences are that in Yoga, the client is generally more actively engaged with their teacher, while in Thai, the client is encouraged to be passive. Both Yoga assists and Thai Yoga Bodywork can be like a great massage!
Let’s work together to improve our skills and understanding of these ancient time-honored practices which are being used to improve the quality of life all over the world, and share them with our friends.
You don’t have to be a Yoga teacher or have tons of Yoga or Thai Bodywork experience to attend. CEC’s for Texas massage therapists and Yoga Alliance available upon request for $25.

It's been 7 years since DeAnna Shires and I collaborated on a yoga event, and we are very excited to offer, perhaps, our last one next month!
Join us for a deep dive into a philosophical, physical, emotional, and spiritual journey towards your best and highest Self!
Neuroplasticity, also known as brain plasticity, can be defined as the ability of the nervous system to change its activity by reorganizing its structure, functions, or connections. Authentic yoga practices can lead to changes in the nervous system, which could change the way use our brains, thus changing how we think, move, breathe, eat, and ultimately how we live our lives. When realized, this is truly a "game-changer".
What you can expect at this retreat: This weekend retreat will offer yoga as both a work-out and a work-in. We will practice both yang and yin styles of yoga (active and passive). Expect to flow through hatha vinyasa (improvised Ashtanga for all levels), explore hatha yoga body purifications (kriya) for the internal organs, yoga for the nervous system, both practical and contemplative, introduction to Kunkalini Yoga to balance the brain/mind, yoga nidra (deep relaxation), nada mantra practices, partner body-work, community and networking.

Healing
Transformation
Awakening
My "Feel to Heal Retreats" are all about healing.. and in order to heal oneself, I believe it is important that we learn to feel. I will encourage you to look for the feel-good by removing the pain.
I'll show you modifications that will open trouble areas that lead to pain, physically and mentally. We will learn all about and experience moving towards a higher state of yoga in all the ways: Move, breathe, balance, learn, focus, challenge, listen, engage, be still, chant, sing, be quiet, meditate, heal, transform, awaken. The idea is to leave feeling 108% better than when you arrived. You'll leave with tools and techniques that will benefit you for the rest of your life. ~Ricky Tran, BBA, ERYT-500, YACEP, CBA |
